FlexiFunnels now allows you to add form validation for dropdown fields by setting “Select your option” as the default placeholder. This ensures users cannot submit a form without selecting a real choice, helping you capture cleaner and more accurate data.
Steps to Enable Dropdown Validation
Open the Editor
Log in to FlexiFunnels and open the editor of the page where your form is located.
Go to Components
Inside the editor, click on Components.
Select Form Element
Choose the Form element you want to validate.
Personal Settings
Open the Personal Settings of the form.
Advanced Settings
Scroll down and click on Advanced Settings.
Here, you’ll find the option to Add Custom Field.
Choose Dropdown Field Type
In the custom field settings, select Dropdown as the field type.
Set Default Placeholder: Inside the dropdown settings, you’ll see an option to select a Default value.
Check the box and set “Select your option” as the placeholder.
Validation Active
Once enabled, the form will require users to select an option before submitting.
Use Case Example
From the screenshot, you can see how this works:
A dropdown field shows “Select your option” as the default.
If a user tries to submit the form without making a selection, the system prevents submission and shows a validation error.
This ensures every lead provides the required information before completing the form.
This feature is especially useful for lead generation and surveys where accurate responses are critical.
Benefits of This Feature
Prevents incomplete submissions.
Ensures data accuracy for lead capture.
Reduces junk entries and focuses your attention on qualified leads.
Lets you add more custom validation options for maximum accuracy.
