How to hide a course inside the FlexiFunnels membership dashboard if it has not been purchased by the user?

Overview

The Hide Course setting allows you to hide specific courses from users who have not purchased them. This helps create a cleaner Membership Dashboard by displaying only the courses a learner is eligible to access.

This feature is ideal if you offer multiple paid courses within the same Membership Project and want each learner to see only the courses they've purchased.

Before You Begin

Before enabling this feature, make sure:

  • Your Membership Project has been created.
  • The course is already added to the Membership Project.
  • The course is assigned to the appropriate bundle or purchase flow.
  • The Hide Course option is available in the Course Settings.

Steps to Hide a Course if it Has Not Been Purchased by the User:

1. Go to your membership project where you created all your courses.

2. Go to your membership area dashboard.
   - Access the main dashboard where all your courses and settings are managed.

3. Navigate to the course settings.

   - The course setting you will be able to reach via a specific membership area(course) that you will choose to hide.

4. Check the option labeled "Hide the course if it has not been purchased by the user."
   - Enable this feature by selecting the checkbox as shown in the screenshot below.

5. Click the "Update" button to save the changes.
   - Ensure your changes are saved by clicking the update button.

What Happens After Enabling This Setting?

Once enabled:

  • Users who have purchased the course will continue to see it in their Membership Dashboard.
  • Users who have not purchased the course will no longer see it.
  • Existing course access for enrolled learners remains unchanged.

This helps keep the dashboard organized and prevents users from seeing courses they cannot access.

Common Scenarios

I enabled "Hide Course," but everyone can still see the course.

Check the following:

  • Did you click Update after enabling the setting?
  • Has the page been refreshed?
  • Is the user actually assigned to a bundle that includes the course?
  • Is the user logged in with the correct account?

My purchased users cannot see the course.

Verify that:

  • The purchase was completed successfully.
  • The correct bundle was assigned after purchase.
  • The course belongs to that bundle.
  • The learner is logging in with the same email address used during checkout.

The course is hidden for everyone.

This usually happens when:

  • No users have been granted access to the course.
  • The wrong bundle is assigned.
  • The purchase workflow is incomplete.

Review your Membership Product and Bundle configuration to ensure access is being granted correctly.

I can't find the "Hide Course" option.

Make sure:

  • You are editing a course inside a Membership Project.
  • You opened Course Settings, not the project settings.
  • You have permission to edit the Membership Project.

Best Practices

  • Enable this option for premium or paid-only courses.
  • Group related courses into bundles for easier access management.
  • Test the learner experience using a test account before publishing your Membership Project.
  • Verify course visibility after making changes.
